ISCSI is an Internet Protocol (IP)-based storage networking standard for linking data storage facilities. The iSCSI protocol increases the capabilities and performance of storage data transmission and can transmit data over LANs, WANs, or the Internet allowing the CCTV storage network to be resiliently distributed.
There are no CCTV storage capacity limitations, more capacity can be added as the surveillance network evolves allowing any PC connected to the network to access live or recorded video at anytime. Location-independent data storage and retrieval enables the creation of a resilient recording system allowing storage to be scaled into the terabyte and even the pentabyte range guaranteeing solutions and storage requirements are completely future-proofed.
